EU grants UK Brexit delay until October: report
BRUSSELS – European Union leaders agreed to grant British Prime Minister Theresa May a new Brexit deadline of Oct. 31, diplomats told Reuters after French President Emmanuel Macron opposed summit efforts to give her another year.
Summit chair Donald Tusk tweeted that an extension had been agreed to but gave no details as he went to brief May on the outcome and seek her necessary agreement to the deal.
The late-night deal means Britain will not crash out of the bloc on Friday and gives May more than the three months she had asked for to build a parliamentary majority behind the withdrawal treaty she negotiated with the EU last year.
But Macron’s push for a June Brexit and strong opposition to other leaders’ preference for a much longer extension that might increase the chances of Britain changing its mind to stay in the bloc meant the meeting ended up with the October compromise.
Oct. 31 would correspond to the end of the five-year mandate of the present EU executive commission.

Top 26 Billionaires Now Worth More Than 3.8 Billion People Combined
To mark the beginning of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, the development charity Oxfam released its annual wealth check report. It states that 2018 was a year in which the income gap widened to record heights in modern history. In fact, the 26 most wealthy billionaires now own as many assets as the lowest 50% of the world’s population, some 3.8 billion people.
According to Oxfam, the wealth of the “Top 26 Billionaires” increased in 2018 by $900 billion, or $2.5 billion per day. In 2016, the number of the world’s richest billionaires needed to eclipse half of the world’s population was 61. It was 43 in 2017.
Oxfam does have a solution. The charity’s suggestions in the report include a wealth tax of 1% that would “educate every child not in school and provide healthcare that would prevent 3 million deaths.”
Oxfam is not a Robin Hood organization with a desire to rob the rich and give to the poor. They share some of the same concerns as conservatives and libertarians who also have a desire to earn wealth, but on an equal playing field and while ensuring that public services for the poor are of the same quality as public services for the rich.
Matthew Spencer, the director of campaigns and policies for Oxfam, said: “Women are dying for lack of decent maternity care and children are being denied an education that could be their route out of poverty. No one should be condemned to an earlier grave or a life of illiteracy simply because they were born poor. … It doesn’t have to be this way—there is enough wealth in the world to provide everyone with a fair chance in life. Governments should act to ensure that taxes raised from wealth and businesses paying their fair share are used to fund free, good-quality public services that can save and transform people’s lives.”

Europe Should Become an “Empire” Says French Finance Minister
France’s finance minister has called on Europe to become an “empire” so that it can better compete with the United States and China.
Asserting that “it takes courage to stand in the way of the government” of Donald Trump, Bruno Le Maire told Handelsblatt newspaper that, “Europe should no longer be afraid of using its power and [become] an empire of peace.”
“I’m talking about a peaceful empire which is a constitutional state,” he added.
Le Maire’s statement follows French President Macron’s call for a “real European army” to counter Russian threats and reduce dependence on the U.S.
During yesterday’s Armistice centenary in Paris, Macron also urged world leaders to reject nationalism, claiming it represented a “betrayal of patriotism”.
Given the internal situation in France, it might be advisable for Le Maire and Macron to focus on their own country’s problems.

A Lutheran Pastor Explains - Russia Is a Beacon of Promise for a Christian Future
As an American who has witnessed the metastasizing of 5th stage cancer in the Empire since the 1960s, I must freely admit that the three holidays in this country which produce the most sadness and profound depression for me at this stage of my life are the 4th of July, Veterans' Day, and Memorial Day.
Donald Jeffries covers the bases on many of my feelings today at Lew Rockwell in an essay entitled Our Plastic Patriotism. Suffice it to say that cardboard patriots in Star-Spangled Attire mouthing platitudes about "freedom" not only fail to understand that Washington, Adams, and Jefferson would not even recognize what this country has become internationally or domestically, but proceed to a mindless and terrifying embrace of the notion that utilizing the American military as a Regime Change Janissary force for Israel, the banks, and the multinational oil, gas, and mineral consortiums is a laudable thing.
Starting a war of aggression with Russia utilizing NATO would be just terrific by these folks.
Jefferson knew otherwise. Even a cursory look at his writings reveals his grasp of the truism that a country involved perpetually in foreign wars of aggression has a government also bent on destroying the liberties of its domestic population. And yet the flag waving and mindless chants of USA!USA! on this day fail to grasp the dark truth that the United States is the leading nation on the face of the earth in the exportation of the instruments of death and the accompanying ideology of preemptive wars for the promotion of usury, sodomy, Palestinian land theft, and World Government eventually culminating in the appearance of Antichrist.

Trump Continues to Defend American Workers: Blasts Canada, Justin Trudeau, EU and Germany for Unfair Trade Policies with US
President Trump upset the Group of Seven meeting in Canada by first agreeing to a group statement on trade only to withdraw from it while complaining that he had been blindsided by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s comments after he departed early for Singapore.
On Sunday night President Trump continued to take swipes at the globalists.
President Trump: Fair Trade is now to be called Fool Trade if it is not Reciprocal. According to a Canada release, they make almost 100 Billion Dollars in Trade with U.S. (guess they were bragging and got caught!). Minimum is 17B. Tax Dairy from us at 270%. Then Justin acts hurt when called out! Why should I, as President of the United States, allow countries to continue to make Massive Trade Surpluses, as they have for decades, while our Farmers, Workers & Taxpayers have such a big and unfair price to pay? Not fair to the PEOPLE of America! $800 Billion Trade Deficit… And add to that the fact that the U.S. pays close to the entire cost of NATO-protecting many of these same countries that rip us off on Trade (they pay only a fraction of the cost-and laugh!). The European Union had a $151 Billion Surplus-should pay much more for Military!… Germany pays 1% (slowly) of GDP towards NATO, while we pay 4% of a MUCH larger GDP. Does anybody believe that makes sense? We protect Europe (which is good) at great financial loss, and then get unfairly clobbered on Trade. Change is coming!

With Global Government 'Conspiracy Theory' Proven True, World Government Summit Says 'Future Plans Do Not Include America'
Over the past several decades, the American taxpayer has been providing billions of dollars funding globalists projects around the world such as building and refurbishing mosques, providing for the defense of nations and helping resettle immigrants who might not have America's best interests in mind into America. Yet as we read in this recent story from WND, the world has given America it's cowardly middle finger in repayment for our kindness and generosity over the past 40+ years.
While the American taxpayer has gotten more in debt to the tune of 20 trillion dollars with that number growing every day, even far-left Vox reports a group of global elites recently met in Dubai to discuss the future of the world, and: "Their plans didn't include America".
While not outright confirmation of Deagel's forecast of only 54 million living here in 2025, as the New American recently reported, that "creepy world government summit" not only targeted America but freedom as well with top globalists, communists, and Islamists from all over the planet gathered for the appropriately called: World Government Summit.
And while over the past several decades, tens of millions of Americans were called 'conspiracy theorists' and labeled as 'crazy' by society as a whole and specifically the mainstream media for simply suggesting that such a thing as a 'world government' or a 'New World Order' existed, part of the agenda for this meeting was to push for what they themselves called a “new world order.”

Globalists Exploit U.K. Election Fiasco in Bid to Derail Brexit
Brexit is in danger of being derailed by establishment globalists. A snap election called by controversial U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May to ostensibly help the Conservative (Tory) Party gain a larger majority in Parliament has resulted in what is being painted as a humiliating defeat, sparking calls for her resignation and for a rethink of Brexit. While the Tories are still the largest bloc in the U.K. House of Commons, they lost their majority. Ultra-far-left leader Jeremy Corbyn and his Labour Party, who said they would honor the Brexit vote as well, picked up most of the seats lost by Conservatives.
What exactly the stunning election results mean for the British exit from the European Union, known as Brexit, is not yet clear. But with May focusing on curtailing fundamental freedoms under the guise of “terror,” more than a few globalists are working to exploit the general election result to undermine British voters' clear vote last year for a restoration of self-government via secession from the EU. In fact, some globalist voices are painting that outcome as inevitable, suggesting a “soft” Brexit non-exit from the EU might be better. A number of voices even suggested the entire election disaster was in fact part of a plot to derail independence. And May, of course, was actually an opponent of Brexit before the referendum.
But lead Brexit supporters such as Nigel Farage have vowed to see the independence effort through to a successful conclusion, even if it means getting back into politics. “If my worst fears are confirmed, if we don’t get the kind of Brexit that I wanted and that people voted for, then I would have no choice but to involve myself again with full-time campaigning,” said former UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage, perhaps the most important figure in the successful British vote to leave the EU superstate, in an interview with the BBC blasting May and her decision to call an early election. “I'm very angry this morning. We were on course for Brexit, and suddenly we may not be.”
The British “snap” election this week was not even necessary. But, with polls showing that the Conservative Party would crush the Labour Party under the leadership of its radical chief, May was supposedly hoping to strengthen her position ahead of upcoming negotiations with the EU for Brexit. Instead, the Tories were crushed, relatively speaking, losing 13 seats in Parliament — along with their outright majority from two years ago, which left them at just under 49 percent support. Corbyn and his Labour Party, meanwhile, picked up a dozen seats, giving them 40 percent control. Minor parties kept the rest.

David Rockefeller, “Mr. Globalist,” Dead at 101
David Rockefeller (shown), the last of his generation of the fabled banking dynasty synonymous with wealth and power, died at the family’s sprawling country estate in Pocantico Hills, New York, on Monday, March 20. He was 101. The grandson of Standard Oil co-founder John D. Rockefeller, he was the youngest of five brothers, and the one destined to leave the biggest mark on the world.
The titles of news stories and obituaries announcing his passing refer to him as a banker, billionaire, businessman, and philanthropist. He was much more than that, but there has been little amongst the glowing tributes in the Rockefeller-friendly media to hint at his darker passions and accomplishments, particularly as they relate to his promotion of globalism and world government.
During the 1970s and 1980s, especially, David Rockefeller was considered by knowledgeable observers across the political spectrum to be the undisputed “chairman of the Eastern Establishment.“ In addition to being chairman of the Chase Manhattan Bank, the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the Trilateral Commission (TC), the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Americas Society, David Rockefeller was a director, trustee, and/or funder of numerous foundations, corporations, organizations, and think tanks. Fortune magazine put his personal net worth at about $3 billion in 2015. However, the Rockefeller family empire of companies, directorships, and foundations — not to mention David Rockefeller’s incomparable rolodex of personal contacts with presidents, prime ministers, poohbahs, and potentates — extended his influence far beyond his pecking order in the “personal net worth” game.
Typical of many obituaries, the one provided by the Associated Press described him as growing up “in a famous American family that taught its children that wealth brings great responsibility. Even as children, he and his siblings had to set aside portions of their allowances for charitable giving.” And, according to the AP account, "he embraced business and traveled and spoke widely as a champion of enlightened capitalism.”
